Workshop: Digital Knowledge Management
A plethora of online tools has made it easier than ever to create, distribute and store information and content collectively. However, not every tool is equally suitable for every purpose. In this workshop, we will look at the pros and cons of Etherpads, in-house wikis and cloud-storage services and will evaluate how knowledge can best be managed for the long term in those places. In addition, the basics of rights management and password protection will be taught, along with an explanation of how your own team should be prepared for and introduced to the use of these.
Daniel Lehmann is a journalist and media lecturer. Since his first steps on the net using an old “steam-powered modem”, he has been a huge fan and attentive observer of the Internet in all its facets. As well as his focus on fact-checking methods, data protection and data security, he also tests open source tools
The event will be held in German and interpreted into English. Interpretation into German sign language on request by 9 January 2023.
