Association

As an umbrella organisation, the Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste (BFDK, Federal Association for the Independent Performing Arts) represents the interests of 16 state associations and eight associated associations. It is represented by its executive committee. Business operations lie with the office in Berlin. The BFDK is involved with numerous associations and committees.

Members

The members of the BFDK are the heart of the association. They maintain direct contact to stakeholders in the independent performing arts all over Germany; they know what matters to those people and communicate their concerns to the BFDK.

Executive committee

The BFDK’S executive committee is elected every two years by the assembly of delegates and represents the association externally. Their work is voluntary and they meet regularly to discuss issues relevant to the association and its members.

Network

Regular exchange with other cultural policy associations is a core task of the BFDK. To this end, the association is active in a number of national and international networks and committees. If you miss the BFDK in your initiative, please contact us!

Activities

Strengthening the independent performing arts and their stakeholders is an essential goal of the BFDK. In order to realise this goal, the association participates in various activities.
